Description
R Subject Matter Expert (SME) is responsible for helping our clients fully leverage their data assets. Datawarehouse team support initial data profiling, data exploration, and identification of high-value data assets that are then hardened by traditional data management practices such as data warehousing. The Data Science team then leverages data warehouse environment to deliver predictive and other decision models that inform operational functions across a broad range including actuarial science, customer engagement, operations management, and fraud analytics, and much more.
Responsibilities
- Work with clients to identify opportunities to apply statistical methods and techniques in leveraging data assets to solve key business challenges or information needs
- Define and develop client-specific best practices around the use of quantitative methods in decision making
- Define data needs, evaluate data availability and quality, and extract/transform data for analytic projects
- Knowledge of Data Warehousing and Dimensional data modeling
- Provide technical expertise and business consultative skills to deliver descriptive statistics, exploratory and confirmatory models to support analysis and decisions across various industries including financial services, insurance, banking, retail, etc.
- Effectively communicate and document models, results, and their business implications
Qualifications
- 5 Years Hands-on experience with R Studio
- Experience with exploratory/ mining techniques and confirmatory modeling is necessary.
- Experience with Machine Learning – Linear and Logistic Regression, Classification and Clustering
- Strong SQL, Hadoop and database knowledge for data acquisition
- Customer-facing experience with strong listening, presentation, and communication is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Applications, Information Systems or Engineering is required.
